It's not that people don't understand you. I'd imagine most of us do. We also understand the compulsive gambler, the drunk, and the person that keeps getting plastic surgeries. None of what they go through is alien. It's why we all have to be careful because without balance any one of us can move towards extremes.
Well for me the "balance" would be accepting that I am inferior. I can't do that.

comments like these drive me crazy. Please do no assume what all women want. I find generalizations like these infuriating.
Comments like these drive ME crazy. There is a reason why men are sold things with pictures of very shapely and very busty women. The same reason women are sold things with pictures of very toned and muscled guys with chiseled abs and angular faces. The reason is that we are ALL programmed at a genetical level to find these traits attractive. Sure with some people it varies. I'm sure there's a bunch of guys who get turned on more by a woman with size A cups than with size D. I'm sure there's a bunch of women who get turned on more with a 4" penis than an 8" one. I would wager they are more the exception than the norm.

I'm sick of hearing of "diversity". It only exists because people have to settle for what they can get.

So you are suggesting if a woman is with a man who has a 4 inch penis, she's with him because she settled?

Come on, you know that doesn't even make sense.

Stop letting this eat at you and become an obsession..

        Have to disagree with you.

I personally prefer small to medium breasted women, large breasts have always looked somewhat uncomfortable to me as they would make some athletic activities difficult. This is not by any means a absolute preference, there are many large breasted women I find attractive, but it is my preference in general.

I'm not particularly a fan of blond hair. Other things equal I like dark hair, or with some features red. Again there are beautiful blond women, but its not my first preference.

I happen to prefer a medium athletic build to a tall lanky build. Minor skin imperfections are OK, a few tatoos are nice, though I don't like someone covered with tatoos. I like women in comfortable shoes, really hate high heels.

Sum it all up and I guess I prefer women who look somewhat "tough". Women who look like they would enjoy a day of strenuous outdoor activity, or maybe a night of strenuous activity in bed. . I'm not particularly attracted to the tall blond, big-breasted slender look. All that said, a nice smile will trump all of the above. You will just need to believe me when I claim that I have not had to "settle", I have just what I want.

In the same way, not all women want body-builders, or (to the topic) men with donkey-sized dongs. Some like slender men, or all other sorts of body styles. As I've mentioned from sex toys, its clear that most women like medium-sized penises. Look at the actors that a lot of women seem to drool over: Whether its that "twilight" guy, Tom Cruise, or Robert Redford (depending on their generation) the attractive actors are not generally massive men, nor is there any indication that they are well endowed.

My belief is that once someone develops enough self confidence they will start looking for what THEY want, rather than feeling that they need to want what advertisers have told them they want.

**** I wrote a huge post and my browser decided to crash.

Chandler's Wish, everyone settles to some degree. I really don't feel like typing all that out again. Maybe tomorrow if I feel up to it.

I will say I don't blame women for wanting certain physical traits in a man. There's nothing wrong with them wanting a guy with washboard abs. If their current man doesn't have any, then they are settling. If a woman finds a larger penis more attractive (not necessarily huge, let's say 7" which would be medium sized) and her man is 4", she's settling.

Sorry that's all there is to it.

I may have settled in the dating stage (even then, not often), but not during the marriage stage. I did not let advertizing by large companies influence my decisions.

So in marriage you got exactly the partner you were looking for?

And it doesn't necessarily have anything to do with advertising. I simply mentioned it because marketing departments use psychology experts to target their audiences with exactly the primal needs that they have. Denying that is lying to yourself.

With marketing, the advertisers always knew the art of how to push the buttons of people to get them to buy. Use of psychology experts turned it into a science.

In marriage, my wife fulfilled so many of my requirements to such a high degree, what was left didn't matter. If you ever find someone who does that for you, jump with both feet.

I proposed to my wife after I broke up with her and it felt like someone had ripped me in half. She is the best woman with whom I've ever been, or even been interested in as far as I can tell. I didn't settle. I chose who I wanted and she wanted me too.

If you think a smaller penis, shorter stature, a larger vagina, or smaller breasts makes you inferior there's probably not much point in trying to get you to understand my position.

Hopefully this is the final-final-final penis size thread. There just doesn't seem to be much success helping people on this issue. They seem to come in thinking that manhood is attached to the size of their penis and never grasp that the two are not connected no matter how much others protest, show statistics, or use logic. It's probably like the guys who suggested to Michael Jackson that he was fine without the surgery. Maybe the person just has to make the connection on their own.

I do admit that it's impossible to have 100% of what you want all the time, particularly in a partner. Different people will have different levels of what they are wiling to settle for. If you lucked out, you found someone very close to that 100% ideal, so technically you are still settling, but by a very low margin.

To that I say no one ever gets someone that is 100%, so by such a stringent definition, everyone is settling. So it's no longer a discussion about settling rather about when you did or didn't. Kind of like DNA tests, the results may be 99.999999% certain, but some will say it ain't so. Fortunately courts don't put up with such nonsense.
