Most men and most women seem to enjoy giving their partners oral. There are a fair percentage though who absolutely hate it and won't do it no matter how much their partners enjoy it. I wonder what else this correlates with? I wonder if the same people who don't like giving, don't like receiving (true of some people), so they don't realize what they are taking away from their partners?

This sort of thing drives me crazy. First of all, assuming the lady takes care of herself like she should, every man should adore her vagina. I really think that not liking it must amount to some other bizarre hangup like a fear of moisture or something, it's so baffling. How could you not love your woman's most sacred and intimate place, the source of her most intense physical pleasure which you have the honor of giving her? Second, okay, let's assume for a moment you just don't like it. Learn to like it! It's not like anyone's asking you to go on a mining expedition in a septic field. It's a vagina, for god's sake! Third, let's assume the unbelievable and that you just don't like vaginas and will never be able to make yourself like them. Go down on her anyway! Do you realize how happy this will make her? If that's not enough for you then you've got a lot of growing up to do and maybe a real relationship with a real woman is something you should put off trying until you can get your mind around the reality that people give and people take and that's how they make each other happy. If all you do is take and you can't bring yourself to spend some quality time between her thighs - just to make her happy and for no other reason - then shame on you. She deserves better.

Okay, my rant is done. Ladies, if any of you need to shame your man into behaving himself for your vagina's sake, feel free to make him read this post!
Haha...I dont think any girls want me to be licking their vagina!

If you get good at it, you would be surprised.

Practice makes perfect. Or if you want to go the fast route, get a woman to show you how.

One thing I like about guys is that you take instruction well, so if you're eager and you've got a helpful and patient woman, the battle's already half won.

I've watched a lot of porn so I'm pretty sure I've got the technique and skills down pat. Its just impossible to find girls who need that service done, lol. I assume that apart form the OP all women are satisfied in the cunnilingus department and ergo don't require my services.

It's odd to see the double-standard some people apply to this oral sex thing. When a woman doesn't want to perform oral sex on a man, they say "it's your right, and he should respect that" but when it's the other direction the answer changes. I think whatever the answer is, it works in both directions.

I don't know how the views on oral sex are in the broader culture, but in the little time I've been around I've seen them change substantially in the communities I'm familiar with. It used to be much more taboo.

One of the curious things about this site is how essential it seems to many here - almost like fondling or kissing. It's just not that essential for everyone. Some people don't like it. Some cultures or religious may view it as unclean. For others who might be cool with it, the smells, waste, blood, and reproductive material that come from the genital area make putting one's mouth down there a bit of a commitment.

Don't forget though that historically this has been more the woman's 'duty' than the man's. The fact that women are now socially equal to men in western societies may moreso just reveal that we want to get ours too now more than it really reveals a double standard. Men have a lot of catching up to do.

Woman-woman sex I think shows the reality here (or maybe the ideal) - there are generally no negotiations for doing this or that. In my experience, both partners receive freely and without reluctance, so I don't think there's necessarily some inherent disinclination on the part of women to do for the other. I know my statistical sampling is probably to small to draw conclusions, but that's what I see anyway.

Have other women seen the same thing that same-sex partners tend to be more equal in the give and take? Maybe its because they know from experience just how good some particular thing feels? Or is it something fundamentally different about the relationships?

My strong suspicion is the latter. Maybe in another time and place the social status played a lot more into the relationships, but not as much here and now.

I found this site looking for help with the disparity between my libido and my wife's. I came across a surprising number of threads posted by unsatisfied lesbians.
