If you're genuinely happy alone because you're fit and have money, that's great.
My concern though is that I have seen quite a few people (girlfriends mostly) talk themselves into this frame of mind as a rationalization for having bad luck with romance
Yes thank you Dr. Laura Schlessinger for your insight into human psychology. I personally am not going to lie and say that I prefer being alone. However, measuring my life from when I was 16 to where I am now, plus my past experiences with women, and particularly what I see happen to other people's relationships (A good friend of mine just went thru a messy divorce that completely destroyed him), then it seems that the alternative to being alone is for me to hand over my testicles to a woman just because she's a woman.

It's even more insulting when I'm told my physical traits are not acceptable (like a 6" penis being small, wow) and that I should feel blessed to have any woman accept me for who I am because you know, I'm a guy, and that's the way it works, the woman can do no wrong.

If those are the terms to which I have to bow down to to not be "alone", bring on alone I laugh in it's face

For me trying to talk while approaching orgasm would be distracting. A little bit before I can get out the "don't stop", but as the moment approaches I become unintelligible.
I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.

If you're saying that all women are petty, selfish, man-haters then aren't you guilty of the sexism you accuse them of displaying? If you're saying that there are some good women out there, then why are you worried about the bad ones?

          Obelisk,
Who ever TOLD you that you're small, as you said? Other than in an angry, antagonizing way with the intention of hurting you?

And your indications that men are the ones doing all the work, I am taking serious issue with. Neither sexually, in communications, financially, etc. are men the sole contributors. Relationships are multifaceted, and sexual compatibility is one part. Generally, if there's a good partnership outside the bedroom, then equal effort is also given in sexual matters.

I'm a little saddened by the fact that you met a couple spoiled princesses and have clouded your outlook by their behavior, and then in turn somehow, make it about the size of your penis. ???

I also think that ladysrinx (sp?) Could be onto something, and have wondered that myself. Men from other cultures here can possibly address that for us?

This notion of fairness or the lack thereof surely goes beyond penis size for men, if we really want to get down to it. When men were in control prior to the modern era, what hope did a homely woman have of connecting with a rich, handsome man when there was a beautiful woman available? Exactly zero chance - and that was a big deal because women for so long had to rely largely on men for financial security. That was certainly not 'fair.'

Likewise even today, do unattractive people have an equal shot at connecting with attractive people? While there are always exceptions, the answer is generally no, simply because there's always a fairly complex selection process at play that involves judging one's own place on the grid so to speak and those of people they consider suitable for them (and ignoring for the moment that some women still chase wealthy men for reasons other than love - I'm talking about real people here). That's not 'fair' either, but anybody who doubts the process exists should ask themselves honestly if they gave as equal consideration to asking out the highly overweight person (not trying to be mean, but I have to illustrate a point) at school/work/whatever as they did the 'hot' one.

Physical attraction plays an undeniable role in determining compatibility, as without it, you'll lack passion even if you see totally eye to eye. Not everybody is created equal physically. Those two realities are not 'fair,' and yet they are the reality anyway. Ironically (and actually rather inspirationally), I know quite a few heavy or not traditionally 'beautiful' people who don't bemoan this fact and seem quite happy living life with the significant other they felt suited them. They didn't cower and give up because life wasn't fair. I bet their SOs found that quality attractive.

jen1447's post demonstrates that the accuracy of ladder theory is now undeniable. Any hold-out's against the power of the truth of this force of nature should yield and embrace it.
