I began swallowing from the very first time. Having learned about sex by way of my parents porn tapes (showing my age); I thought taking it in the mouth was the only way the guy could cum. It wasn't until my fifth partner that I learned a guy could do it on his own inside me. By that time I was used to swallowing and thought it was just part of normal sex. Must have been pretty good at it because I found out my secret nickname in the community was cum ****. I must say, learning about sex by watching porn was not the best idea.

Wow, Jill, I can really relate to this. I too first learned about sex from watching porn videos my mom stashed in her bedroom for watching with her boyfriends. I was 12 when I first discovered then (this was in the mid-90's). In fact the first time I masturbated was when I started watching these tapes. My mom never told me anything about sex (though I could certainly hear her from time to time with her boyfriends) so I learned about sex from watching porn. I too thought oral and anal sex were the norm but I also learned that this is what men really wanted. I got so turned on watching porn that it's what I wanted as well. I don't have any regrets nor do I feel like I was misled by porn. Rather, I believe it helped me understand how men enjoy sex and I could have the same enjoyment.

SusanSweetlove-I wonder if being exposed to oral sex first is why we like it so much. Our early experiences shape what we like.

I also was 12 when I got exposed to porn, and I saw mostly women giving men oral sex. The image itself was a turn-on. Even though I was a virginal 12 year old, the thought became implanted in my head.

          Magnetism,

Sweet that we share the same experience.

Perhaps the early exposure to oral helped shape us. I can't really explain or understand for myself why I love giving oral so much. Nothing excites me more than the idea of sucking a big hard penis. I find penises endlessly fascinating; the size, the shape, the way they are both rock hard and yet have that nice soft head and that cute little slit in the tip. I love feeling them in my hands and especially my mouth. They seem so powerful and potent yet when I suck them it seems like I'm in control of them and the guy is at my mercy. When I'm with a guy I can't until I'm stroking his **** with my hand while slurping on it with my wet mouth. Jesus, I'm getting wet just thinking about it. I have to stop.

It's hard to explain (especially those that don't get it), but here's my theory why people like to give oral sex:

            1) The mouth is an erogenous zone. Giving oral sex is much like eating or licking our favorite food.
            2) The idea of putting your partner's genitals in your mouth is a huge turn-on to the brain, especially if you find a penis/vagina arousing. If you're attracted to someone, how can you not want to ravish their body?
            3) It was viewed as "dirty" act back in the day, which makes it more fun.
            4) Being in control is a part of it.

It's just not about the man's pleasure. A person giving oral can get very excited just thinking or talking about it.

              Magnetism,

Great thoughts! I particularly like the idea that oral sex is like eating delicious foods. That's just how I feel when I sucking a hard ****. It just feels so good in my mouth. Maybe the same idea of eating something luscious applies to my appetite for cum.

It's also true that it was seen as "dirty" when I began having sex. It made me feel like a "naughty" girl which I always find to be a big turn-on.

I also agree that it's not just about the man's pleasure. I'd love sucking **** even if guys didn't care. Fortunately for me and them, they do care-a lot!!!

"A person giving oral can get very excited just thinking or talking about it." Absolutely. Just having this discussion is getting me aroused.

I use the food analogy to explain to those that don't get it. If licking a popsicle feels good to most people, it shouldn't be surprising that licking your partner's privates feels good in your mouth too.

How about a popsicle shaped like a penis? And filled with creamy vanilla ice cream inside! That would be delicious!

Hey lady..I'm already drinking a creamy smoothie. Don't put ideas in my head while I'm doing some household work!

I would add that it is the most intimate of acts and involves all five senses. The brain reacts to the scent, the taste and the feel. It can make me light headed. But I disagree with Susan . . . her pleasure is an integral part of the experience for me. Hearing her moans and encouragement heightens my pleasure. I agree with you both that there is independent pleasure for the giver as much as for the receiver.

To me, that is what separates a giving and considerate lover from the rest. If partners get pleasure from giving pleasure, you know that you will have a wonderful sex life.
