Amen girls, I don't buy into the marriage bs either. I never want to be married again. I feel like together is together, and no paper signed by any official makes you more commited or more faithful. I see it as much more beautiful that someone wants to come home to me every day because they choose to, not because they have to by law.“The pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist expects it to change; the realist adjusts the sails.†- William Arthur Ward -
Don't go with his whims. He is not the guy for you. In my book, he doesn't mean what he says. He is just telling you what he thinks you want to hear, but he has his feeling buried underneath - just for him. He is still in his selfish realm. He doesn't know what he wants and never will he know unless he makes a conscious effort to explore what it is. Sometimes, I think that it's just that, you are just not right for each other, because once the right person comes, you will know it from deep within you. Something inside you will tell you "this is is - He/she is THE ONE!"
If you feel like calling and/texting him, write it down in a journal. Don't let him know your feelings as of this time - he will never get it...worse will take advantage of it.
You deserve someone better - someone who would set himself out there to look after you and try his very best to make you happy. If happiness to you is marriage, he will....just like what I learned from that movie: If a guy is really into you, he will make it possible whatever it is that would impede, he will do his best to overcome that just to be with you, because he loves you.
And I am looking for that person, too....Goodluck to both of us, dear!Comment

If, after a month, 2 or so, and you think you will be able to handle the re-establishment of any connection (preferably friendship), then do so. It is all up to you. Don't rush - take your time healing and taking care of yourself more. Show him that you have your own life altogether without him - that you are not dependent of him. Actually, it seems to me that he is the one dependent of you...just wait, he will realize that (hopefully).
But here's the point: don't drop everything for him. Get yourself going. Put yourself out there, too. Go out more. Even if you don't feel like doing it, still go out there and explore new areas - it will help. Just don't wallow yourself in misery.
I still wake up not feeling okay. As if there was a knife in my chest and I would feel like crying. I make a conscious effort to choose to be upbeat. I play upbeat music and dance it all away.Comment
