Thanks so much for your support. I don't know which is worse the physical or the emotional pain. We are supposed to be able to trust our doctors. We are supposed to have the mighty FDA looking out for us and it was a real shocker to me to find that things are not what they seem. I am forever hurt that doctors will do this. I hope that one day I will feel comfortable with some doctor but when I look at them now all I see is the arrogonance, the never question me because you should worship me attitude. I see the greed and the corruption with the drug/device manufacturers and how they can send some pretty young woman in to talk with the doctors and how the doctors think they are so special because they get all these free meals and no telling what else. -
hopefully someone can help
Ok. So I am almost 25 years old. I have 3 kids ages, 3 1/2, 2 1/2, and 18 months! I had my second child while using Ortho Tricyclin Lo and my Third child while on the Marina (IUD). I asked the doctors to tie my tubes after my second child and they said no because i was too young. After having the third child I asked again and was told no for the same reason. But they would do the essure procedure. So I went along with it and did it. I got my essure procedure done in December 2008. After getting it my periods and everything were normal. I had my HSG test done in March 2009, and both sides were completely blocked. They said that it worked. Yes!
Everything has been great! Periods and everything are on time and I wasnt getting pregnant.
But now Im a little more then a week late on my period! I took a pregnancy test that came out negative. So it showed that Im not pregnant. Thank God. But has anyone else had missed periods with essure? I just dont get when i would just be late all of a sudden with having it normal and on time for almost a year now. I really hope that someone can help me.
Thanks.Comment

Essure lodged unto intestines
I had the Essure procedure done about 2 1/2 years ago. My doctor had trouble with the right placement. Ever since I had this done I had some on and off pain on the right side of my abdomen.
Then last year in Dec. I had severe pain and diarreha for about 3 weeks. Went to the doctor had CT scan everything was normal except radialogist report said essure had moved. Didn't say where. Went to Gyn and he said it must be intestinal because why would I get bloody diarreha from Essure. So it finally did subside and I thought I just had flu or something.
Still always had some pain on right side, sometimes worse than others especially worse after exercise or bowel movement. So it happened again about 2 months ago same thing. Did another CT scan, colonoscopy, blood work. Everything normal except Essure moved again compared to last CT scan.
So finally went to a different GYN and said look I want this stupid thing out!!! Went and had a partial hysterectomy,(laproscopic) and guess what, When he was taking out my right fallopian tube where he thought the Essure was, it was gone. So he said he looked around and saw it attached to my small intestine! I have pictures to prove it. Of course he took pictures and my strange husband had to have a copy. Now I am dealing with pain from the gas they pump into you and I thought I was going to die from that, but it has finally subsided some on the second day. My abdomen is really sore, especially hurts when passing gas. I'm sure having to have my intestines cut into didn't help.
I hope someone starts a civil suit against this company because I would join it. If you are thinking about this procedure do not do it! My problems didn't start until a year later. I think your tubes just don't want anything in there and they will do everything they can do get it out. Sorry so long tried to trim story down.Comment

Did they get the coil out that was imbedded? That is what is so scary to me is that they aren't staying in place and are migrating into the abdomen. No wonder you have had intestinal problems. Did you have any bad bloating cause another lady has been experiecing bad bloating and was told that it had to be something else beside essures. I am going to post on messages with my contact info cause this lady would love to hear your symptons.

Make sure you get a CT scan and have them tell you exactly where it is, not just that it may have moved. This is what I was told after 2 CT scans that it was projecting out of the fallopian tube. Well where is it! When I went in to have them removed I elected to have a partial hysterectomy. My doctor did not see the coil in my right fallopian tube which is where all my pain was, I also had very bad stomach problems, pain in back and legs. It was actually attached to my small intestine. I am just grateful he looked around and saw it. Don't let these doctors push you around tell them you want them out now. Hope you feel better soon and they can find out what is causing all your pain. If you haven't had anything done yet and you do have them removed laproscopically ask if they can warm the Carbon Dioxide gas they pump into you, because the pain from that gas was the worst pain I have ever experienced in my life. I might just also be very sensitive to it but I looked on the internet about it and I read that some doctors warm the gas because it's not so hard on your diagphram which is what causes all the pain afterwards.Kym4,
Hey! Thank you so much for your responses. I am currently looking for a doctor who will take out just the coils without doing a hysterectomy and I think it will be a difficult tast because I live in a rural part of Louisiana. I am hoping that I can find some doctor around here or in nearby states that can do this.
Thank youComment

I had the Essure done in November of 2006 the procedure was a little painful and the doctor told me I would have light cramps afterword.24 hours after it was done I had to call the doctor I was not having light cramps it felt like labor pains it hurt very badly.I also was bleeding very heavy he told me it would pass but it didn't after they checked 3 months later the procedure had taken fine my tubes were closed but the problems kept getting worse.I went back to the doctor and he tried to say I was going through menopause at 23 and thats what was causing the problems but I didn't have any of these problems until I had the essure done.I bleed sometimes for 2 months straight very heavy I have bad lower back pain and very painful cramps also I have sharp pains in my lower left stomach. It has been a horrible experience wish I would have never got it.I have tried to se other OBGYN's and they wont touch me they tell me to go back to the doctor that preformed the procedure so I have kind of been stuck but they have told me that I was not going through menopause. So if anyone has any information that might help me you can email me (Edited email address) .Also if anyone is trying to get a class action lawsuit going I would like to get the info on that.Last edited by CHANDLERS WISH; 12-09-2009, 11:29 PM.Comment

It's not safe to place your email address on a site, you don't know who lurks them, plus so many spammers
That's because, they "don't" want to be sued... It's obvious that the first Doctor did it wrong and is trying to weed his way out of it.I have tried to se other OBGYN's and they wont touch me they tell me to go back to the doctor that preformed the procedure
There have been a couple of these examples because essure started, what in 2001? And, not all Doctors are totally qualified to know how it is all put together, but will do the operation anyway.
You need to seek legal advice and have them obtain your records...
It's the only way you are going to succeed with this.
I appreciate you would love support of others as well in your State or not, so you can use this in your arguement.
I am sure if anyone reading this can relate they can send you a Visitors Message.
I'm sorry you have gone through all of this at such a young age.
This particular subject has bought a few spammers who "pretend" to be a new member but are pushing the product... but there are some genuine people that haven't had problems and some who have.
Have a read through the posts, your not alone..

Someone started a facebook group for essure. After some negative posts it got changed to the unofficial essure group. Some that posted negative posts were asked not to post negative because it might scare someone considering the procedure or scare someone who had the procedure. They were asked if they have been compensated and they put that they weren't affliated in any way. This forum does a good job in trying to keep the reps from posting and they also do a good job when one of us ladies gets too personal even including myself. Keep up the good work in monitoring this forum.Comment

Ladies please make those reports to the maude FDA database. It is not the patients responsibility but the company and the doctors don't seem to be making the reports. I know that it is confusing to do the reports and if you have trouble just let me know and I will help you. We cannot rely on the company nor the doctors to make those reports. Even though legally they are supposed to make the reports there is no enforcement nor consequences if they don't. There is evidence that the company is offering doctors free hysterscopic equipment, free xray equipment and even the devices for free as long as they perform a certain amount of procedures.Last edited by CHANDLERS WISH; 12-16-2009, 02:14 PM.Comment

essure gone bad
Sorry, i have to post this for my wife she is in to much pain now. As a husband i wish i would have done more research on this procedure, i feel somewhat responsible for her pain. She went in for the essure procedure with a new doc, her other doc left for a different clinic so we went with his replacement what a joke. They got one side done and work on the other side for 2.5 hours. she was in so much pain and my wife has a
lot of pain tolerance. This was a terrible procedure done by a bad doc. I am not very happy i called the clinic and asked them to explain what happened and why in the they would keep working on her for that long. She is now scheduled for a tubal on the 21st I really dont want her to go thru it. She wants to just get it done she is also hoping to have them take the one coil out. I personally think the Doc a man should have something shoved up his you know what for 2.5 hour and see how he likes it. Her tubal is being done by a woman and is very good. I am giving the clinic a chance to make this right before i take action. This is just not right. Any advice would be good.Comment
