I try to respect others opinions, but there are some things in an above post that I disagree with. Sorry, but nobody said a woman uses a vibrator to trick her mind into thinking it's the real thing. A vibrator produces a sensation (hence vibration) that a man's penis does not. When using a vibrator, I am in control or the pace, pressure, and placement. I know what feels good. I think it is a bit egotistical for a man to think he knows what my body is feeling better than I do.

Women who don't orgasm get pregnant all the time. It is not necessary to have an orgasm for conception to occur.

Just because I'm mentally aroused does not = orgasm.

Magnetism, I hope things start looking up for you

Euphoric-They do look good for me, thanks. It just makes you look back in the past and think wtf when you finally meet a reasonable sex partner. I did penetrate myself with a vibrator last might while watching porn, and it was pretty easy. I don't need to orgasm to feel satisfied either. I'm going to sound like a broken record, but I've made it clear that my favorite sexual act is giving a blowjob and getting a facial afterwards. One doesn't need to orgasm to enjoy that act. It's just fun overall being touched and touching someone else.

I hope you have better luck with older guys. Hopefully you will find guys who are patient and not so focused on their own pleasure that they spend time to find out what you like.

Jana-those experiences happened 10 years ago.im just sharing to show how humorous the things people say. I will say I started to meet guys that care about a woman's pleasure when I was in my late 20s.

I just wanted to share some great news with the few posters that have been helping me on my journey about sex......

The doctor called me today and confirmed that I have a latex allergy. The test results said so. WOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

That explains so much. No wonder I hate it when doctors stick their gloves in me and no wonder I hate the burning sensation associated with condoms.

I wish I knew this information years ago, but I grew up in environments where nobody talked about latex allergies causing painful sex.

You are making great strides by being proactive to find answers to puzzling questions. Wow, so you are allergic to latex on top of not necessarily having the most ideal environment. I'm glad that you have updated us, I'm routing for you. You have a lot to offer to the right person. Don't worry about sounding like a broken record, you know what you like. Maybe with this new information you will discover that you enjoy a larger variety of sexual acts.

                Euphoric,

Thanks for the kind words. I'm posting this to let other women know that they may have a latex allergy, if they're experiencing painful sex and can't find a reason why. It's a shame that vaginismus or vulvodynia comes up when you google painful sex, when it could be something else....

I chose to use condoms ever since I was a teenager, because I was worried about the side effects of birth control pills (weight gain, nausea) AND my parents finding out that I was having sex(I was on my parents' healthy insurance until I was 25). Little did I know that condoms would be a factor in making sex less enjoyable.

It's good for you to know about your latex allergy. You can have guys use polyisoprene condoms or possibly polyurethane condoms (still being tested). Hopefully this will go a long way for lessening pain since you shouldn't tighten up against the skin irritation and pain.

In my group of female friends, it seems like I'm the only one that's aware of this?
Your doctor and your friends just probably work differently than you and are assuming that everyone is like them. I had never heard of anything like what I'm reading here before I came to this site, but from the responses you're getting it's not uncommon.

Also, jns mentioned an erection not necessarily meaning a man is mentally ready and I find that's true in my case. My wife is typically ready before me and sometimes even skips foreplay altogether without any issues. The difference, of course, is that this doesn't mean pain or complete dissatisfaction for me as it seems to with some women.

Also, I know this isn't exactly on topic, but I remember working with a guy years ago who preferred oral sex to vaginal. I remember him telling me that even bad oral was better than good sex. So, there are men out there that will match you sexually.
