I haven't quite figured that aspect of myself out yet. Maybe it's because of the way that women influence? I don't know...
I'm a bit in the opposite direction. I tend to try and "teach" my way out of a female's lack of knowledge. I generally keep quiet when a man is ignorant. I enjoy talking to a sharp person, male or female, and will complement them on any great insight.

The worst male behavior is when a guy tries to prove how smart he is by putting down his wife or another woman. I will engage all of my debating skills to embarrass him in public as he did to his woman.

This is the most interesting comment in the thread to me, even though it's a huge deviation. Why the difference? Is it because you think it will be received differently?

I would love to have a discussion on this. I wouldn't even know how to title the thread or what to ask though. Maybe I'll try to come up with something after work...

I would be happy to respond to the new thread, although I'm not sure my answer is very interesting. I find women in general (and less intelligent ones in particular) are more receptive to learning something new. I also find that it quashes any snarky "dumb blonde" comments. Part of my "female rescue" negative personality trait.

I find men will tend to argue the smallest and most ridiculous points even if they are obviously wrong. It proves one of my favorite axioms -- he may not always be right be he is always certain. I find arguing the obvious to be dull and poorly received. Of course, if the comment was in the form of the question, I would provide the facts.

If someone is willing to admit their ignorance and ready to learn, are they really dumb?

Loving women because you hate men is not healthy in my opinion because your love is not coming from a good place, like the love is tainted. A lesbian should love women because she genuinely loves them.
Unfortunately I think there are cases where this is so. Two examples I can think of (that I've seen personally) are ultra-feminists and strippers. I've seen extreme ultra feminists (and that by no means is all or even some or even few of them - a very small minority I suspect) who actually seem to hate men, and their relationships with women seem to be anchored in that hate. I agree - not good. Strippers seem to at times develop hatred for men for more practical reasons - their primary exposure to them is in an environment where they may be totally objectified. I've seen those develop relationships with women that seem based on a foundation of the partner not being a man, first and foremost.

I think Patti's explanation about her variance in sexuality actually illustrates the point about female malleability pretty well. I don't categorize myself that rigidly either. It would be less a question of straight/bi/lesbian and more of a scale of 1 - 10 with straight on one end and lesbian on the other. I'm personally at about a 7 closer to the lesbian side, but it doesn't mean I'm a straight-up (no pun intended lol) lesbian. I do use the general term 'bi" tho, mainly for convenience.

Well my wife is bi as she will go out with the girls night out and will enjoy the whole evening with about 4 to 5 other very close girl friends. Lets just say she has her very handy over night bag with some nice sexually toys and she not selling Avon door to door either lol.
