I've had cramps since the day I got the procedure done, which this month makes 6 months. Like you, I said maybe this is normal and my body has to get use to it but now I know there is something definately wrong because of this blog. I cramp all the time but mostly on my left side. Sometimes the pain runs down my leg. I don't know if these coils can be removed but if they can i'm going to have them taken out and just get my tubes cut, tied and burned.

SEXXYJ, I had mine removed without a hysterectomy. Some other ladies have also had theirs removed. Warning most of us met lots of resistance from our doctors about the metal coils being the problem and worst of all a lot of the doctors didn't know what to do about problems with the metal coils. Just take care of yourself and remember it is YOUR BODY not theirs. You know what you feel and they don't. Don't let them push you around.

Well my friend is a nurse the hospital OB delivery. She made it seem like no big deal other than some missed prenatals because they assumed they were covered. Nothing was ever commented on as to how the doctors felt about it.

As for me I have an appt with my OB/GYN prior to the HSG appt so I am going to discuss this with him.

tbsharp599, Thanks for responding to my question. I am just curious what other health care people may think about the metal coils. I happen to know a few health care people and they don't seem to think this is good procedure just because of the risks for migration. Keep us posted and I truly hope that everything is ok, that the Depo shot is just causing your symptons.

kim225, The doctor who removed my metal coils did not tie my tubes. He felt that at my age and my medical history that my chances of becoming pregnant were very slim. I did not realize this at the time of surgery. No one had any experience removing the metal coils and I really thought they would have to do a hysterectomy. I did some research on fertility for women my age and if all the studies and documents I have read are accurate then I really only had about a 1% chance of becoming pregnant using no form of birth control. I have since gone to another doctor and he is not concerned about my becoming pregnant either. So I don't take birth control. I cannot pretend to know everyones motives for doing what they did but I have read that the company is or was offering some huge incentives to the doctors if they would do so many procedures per year. I have read that the doctors can make a lot more money doing the metal coils than a standard tubal. I blame my doctor for being unethical and using me for his own personal gain and I blame the company for offering such incentives in order to get doctors using the procedure. My story is very complicated and there is plenty of blame to be shared by both the doctor and the company.

UPDATE... I am 34 weeks pregnant. The baby is healthy so far. And I feel like I am gonna give birth any second! I am going in on wednesday to do a 3 hour glucose test. And for my check up. YEah!!! I am freaking out about the whole thing. I kind of want to get this over with I want to get back to normal. I cant bend over.. and I cant move with out pain now. Never felt this pain before in any pregnancy . If I sit and get up I cry. its not cool to have this pain ... plus I stand for hours at school. I wont know if this is normal until i talk to the doc. But its not like Back pain or pelvis pain.. its inside... mostly on my right side. I have done everything to stop the pain its very very Crucial pain. Anyways, I just thought I would let everyone know I am ok.. I haven't posted in a while cause of school been very very busy!

will u have the essure again after your baby is born or will you have another procedure to tide your tubes i am sorry to ask you this it is just when someone post something on here about the essure i just have alot of question about it because i want to know to aspect and how to handle it because i had the essure in place

... but it went just fine for me. no pain. period is completely normal as it was before I had essure done. soo, i guess it's real good thing but im still paranoid since most of you got pregnant after a year. so i just don't want it to happen to me. so what can i do?
