I understand that sex is not everything in a relationship but I do believe it can be said it is the glue that holds it all together. It is very difficult for the partner that is being rejected. I know, I live it, however I have come to deal with it as we have had discussions and we both are working together.
It has been mentioned that it was not fair for the partner with the higher drive to expect it from his/her partner, on the same token neither is it fair for the one with the lower drive to expect the other to do without.
For better or worse has also been mentioned as it is a common part of the marital ceremony, I have to say that I do not believe these words can be used to "excuse" someone from not trying to work with their partner. If the two involved in the relationship truly love one another they will BOTH work together on the issue to come to an agreeable compromise.
