You're right Carl, having a tumor removed and having your nuts cut off are not quite the same. As a kid I had a dog who would hump everything and anyone. He was aggressive at times and God saved you if you were on the ground. So, my parents had him neutered. Sure for the first week the dog was melancholy and nonresponsive. But after a week he perked up and became fun and never once tried to hump anyone. Now, he lost a little energy, but he lost his aggressiveness aswell. I know you are not a dog. You are a human being. But the theory is the same.

These doctors and people are afraid. They are afraid that these thoughts and urges that you have are a prelude to something horrible that you might do in the future. I am sure they have spent years studying people simular to you. Their instincts and professional experience is telling them that this proceedure needs to be done, to protect the public and yourself.

But everything i read Carl, through all of this, showed that you can still get a hard on, still masterbate, no where near as much as you do now.

Discuss this as well with them, i know you went for help, but they are helping, it's just not what you wanted to hear in totality.

Discuss with them regarding still being able to have sex later just not being able to produce children.

I must admit, I have not read all of your post and with 165 post on this thread I'm not going to back to read them all. But was there any other option out there short of the castration. Was this there final solution to your problem?

I know you are scared. I can't imagine the endless thoughts, fears of what you are going through right now. The sheer thought of having no sex drive. Carl, sex is not all what life is about. It is an aspect of life and I admit it is an improtant piece that is why there are so many people here talking about it. But your perception of sex is askewed. You know the ramifactions if you were to live out your fantasies. So is there another option? Running away from this is not going to help you.

There are people here that do care about you. Yes some of them are women, it's a woman's site. And although they will never truley know what is like to be a man, to have a penis and balls, they still have valuable input. They speak as caring human beings who are trying to help another human being. Some of the strongest (emotionaly and mentaly as well as physically) people I know are women. Don't dismiss what they say merely because they are women and don't know what it is to be a man.
