I simply loved the Dove Evolution clip, I am actually going to forward it to my friends (+ my SO). That's how it is. It's funny, though, that even when they have a woman who looks gorgeous without any make-up or photoshop, who is in love with them and has eyes for no-one else, they still check porn.

It's just insane to try to sell products with boobs and butts, it's ridiculous. It's disappointing to know that people who come up with such ideas and actually produce such garbage get paid quite well, while skillful and intelligent people don't even have a job.

I think those who'd prefer a photoshoped woman over real porn are just too much stuck with their own imagination. They like to imagine impossible perfection in a perfect environment they create in their minds. Then again we have the other type of guys, who prefer hentai over porn (I once had a classmate who was crazy about them).

And I agree, lingerie ads can be sexy, they HAVE to be sexy. Women will look at the ad and think "it looks good on her, then it will look good on me too". But all the other silly commercials, I can't stand them. They insult my intelligence and my existence as a woman.

The thing is that as long as their numbers, how ever they gather them, show that T&A sell products it won't stop.
As long as women respond with insecurity and credit cards to men's drooling like teens over celuloid women, things won't change. I've had enough of this nonsense and am trying to find my ability to respond to it with humor. So many men can't handle the real deal that it's could easily get very hard to not to respond with complete derision when they complain about women's lack of sexual interest. Rationally I know this is irrational but I'm fighting it right now.

I'm old enough to have encountered enough men with sexual issues to see that they are pretty fragile in that department and should be better able to understand how their behavior contributes to and helps create the women's sexual issues which so many of them complain about.

I don't think they could handle all of that well.. and not be a tad insecure. Guys go on an on about how if women were just more secure they'd not have a problem with porn... but we have our insecurities shoved down our throat by society... when the man you love contributes its hurtful.
Yet another vote for this response! I would LOVE to see how the world would react if we could just reverse the roles for one week. I bet they wouldn't see it as so "normal" and acceptable then.
I cannot stand that women are portrayed as sex objects EVERYWHERE, as mentioned in the former posts, commercials, etc. Despite all that, I think most of us would probably be happy as long as the ONE guy in our lives respects, loves and fantasizes about ONLY us, and doesn't give in to all that bs going on in society. That would be all I would need anyway, for him to "only have eyes for me." (that's a song, isn't it? )

The difference is that it is much easier to expect him to stop looking at women other than you than it is to expect you to stop feeling hurt.

It is true that arousal tends to be based more on emotion with women than with men, and it is true that many men CAN get aroused purely through visual stimulation and without any emotional attachment. But there is nothing that forces a man to HAVE to want to get aroused by the sight of naked women other than his girlfriend or wife.

There is the excuse that variety is necessary, and that may be true for single men who have no emotional attachment to any woman and who find that looking at a variety of naked women adds 'spice'. On the other hand, if a man is in a loving and committed relationship, his woman is all he needs and it shouldn't be difficult for him to keep his 'appreciation' for the female form for her and only her.

Maybe that's one thing that separates the mature men from the immature boys, regardless of age.

Well, I am good with my mouth, so it's usually a good think when I'm way down south. Wait, that wasn't what you were talking about, was it.

On a serious note, I could probably write a few more paragraphs on the subject of porn, but since my thoughts probably apply to most if not all areas of a relationship, let me sum it up this way...

A woman's love is like a flower. Neglect her and it will wither. Show her the care and respect she deserves, and it will bloom into something beautiful and amazing.

Wow! You just described a thought I have been trying to formulate and articulate for weeks now. Thanks Tex

Tex, if you live by what you say, you are a MAN. Although you also watch porn

Nah, 95% of porn is boring. What would I want with photoshoppped barbies? If then I rather look at real pictures of real women, like on Flickr or something...

True. But I've recently grown thorns.
