      Well there we go again...

Not winning, she is saying NO..

I have to buy the eggs fine. But, she can't sleep on the lounge cause i have the dooner and therefore, i will give her curry and make sure she can't sleep.

And, I imagine that your Dad will decide where he wants to eat but never mind on that.

Next time, take the dooner off and say you want the tv on? Fine, i'm sleeping on the lounge.

It seems to me, each time you do something against what he wants? He is ok with it, just that he trys to find something else to irritate you just like a child, so don't be frightened just do it.

Take back control, bit, by bit, by bit... so at least it is comfortable for you a bit until you can leave.

Cassie, you have to look not at what you have done but at what skills you have. Start with making a list of everything you can do and I do mean everything! Can you cook? What? Bake? Sew? Know how to clean? (I mean really? Few people actually do) Answer phones, take messages? Garden? Do you know a weed from a desirable plant? Have you ever used a cash register? Are you a quick learner? Can you do 10 key? What machinery or equipment do you know how to use or operate? Are you good with numbers? Able to handle people (you aren't emotionally involved with). What education and training have you had?

Skills in one area can often transfer to another area but you have to see them first. What do you enjoy? Are there any resourses for training available to you? What does the local lending library have? Check out Office for Dummies, Gold Mine for Dummies, Access for Dummies and start getting at least familiar with some software.

Think about how your skills with animals might translate into a business? Without transportation you will have some limitations but you can do it if you are determined. Could you offer a service walking dogs, cleaning up yards, grooming, going to peoples homes and cleaning animal cages, caring for pets while people are on holiday? Could you make your own business?

You can always choose how you respond. No one Makes you down, unless you allow it!

Start with some research. Look in the phone book, the newspaper, Craigslist (just checked that, it isn't as widely used there as in the US but I'll bet it will catch on) See what services are offered. Call a few and get their prices, just inquire saying you are checking to see what services are available - you don't have to get all chatty.

You might check several possiblities - you never know what may be needed. Can you do alterations (I hate doing them myself but there is plenty of demand usually) or custom sewing? The animal care, cleaning?

OK, here's an idea because you need an immediate and a long term plan. One forget your husband and father - sorry to say it but neither really has your best interests at heart. How about a home services business as your long term plan? Start with some basic services that you can offer yourself - animal care, cleaning, doing the wash and some light ironing, a bit of gardening. Then start building your self a list of people whom you could bring in to work for you or with you. Either to have them do what you have been doing or to add more options. Someone who is a reliable driver, with some sense could run errands for people or do shopping for them. You could start on your own, educate yourself as to the laws, any licenses or permits or insurance and gradually build up to having employees or contractors working for you.

You will have to do your homework as to what to charge - you don't want to be the priciest or the cheapest. Keep records on everything and you could have a nice business. Someone did this in my community a couple years ago and probably has 30 -40 people working for them now.

Starting out with any job is better than starting out with no job. Look and see who is hiring for what right now. Don't necessarily count on them to advertise it. Summertime is coming and I know for a fact that home improvement and garden stores are hiring seasonal help, even in these bad times. There are some companies that are still growing and could use someone who isn't necessarily a "spring chicken." Don't discourage yourself, just get out there and show that you DO have skills.
